Law Office of Jacob Tuckfelt, LLC - Warwick, NY

Serving Warwick NY, Orange County, and the Hudson Valley

Scales of Justice

Jacob was born in Warwick and is a lifelong member of the community. For him, law is not just a job, it is not about status or wealth. For Jacob, practicing law in his community means helping others to successfully navigate through difficult times in their lives, and it means upholding a reputation as a dedicated and honorable professional.

Directly after being admitted to the bar, Jacob began practicing law in the Family Law Department of a local law firm. He gained extensive experience in a wide range of matrimonial and family law matters, and represented clients in the Family and Supreme Courts of several local counties. Eventually, Jacob opened a law practice in his home town of Warwick, New York, where he continues to focus on matrimonial and family law. As a life-long member of the community, Jacob maintains a network of local professions, including other attorneys, property appraisers, counselors, and therapists.

Jacob graduated magna cum laude from Pace University School of Law, located in White Plains, New York. While in law school, Jacob served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Victor J. Alfieri, Acting Justice of the New York State Supreme Court, and as judicial extern for the Honorable George A. Yanthis, Chief United States Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Jacob also served as an honors extern for the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted several criminal violations in White Plains City Court.

Prior to law school, Jacob graduated from Cornell University, receiving his degree, with Distinction, in policy analysis and business management. He then began a successful career in the chemicals industry, where he served as a business analyst and as a supply chain planning manager. He led a cross-site planning department responsible for over thirty million dollars of product annually. Because of this experience, Jacob is highly competent with numbers and detailed financial analyses. Such skills are not part of the traditional legal curriculum, but are extremely relevant to the financial aspects of divorce and child support matters.

Furthermore, even after leaving the business world, Jacob has remained committed to the concept of “efficiency.” This means that, at every stage of your matter, Jacob will evaluate the time and expense dedicated to your matter, and he will strive to maximize the return you obtain.
